The lab is an application oriented one where expert scientists work with innovative companies. The laboratory is funded by the Austrian government through the Christian Doppler Forschungsgesellschaft and the commercial partners. It has two different modules. The first department is called "Cross-Blockchain Transactions". The Pantos project wants to establish an open standard for cross-blockchain token transfers. While today's interoperability solutions are often designed in a centralised manner, Pantos aims to enable the transfer of token to other blockchains without the need for a middleman, thus preserving the security and integrity of the involved blockchains.
