Astar Network is a dApp hub on Polkadot that supports many solutions. Astar wants to be a multi-chain smart contract platform. Polkadot Relay Chain does not support smart contracts. That is why it is important that a parachain is in place for all developers who want to build in the Polkadot ecosystem.
